Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the Solar Engine website. Please read them before using the site. By using the site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
Solar Engine is a white-label quote engine for renewable energy installers, operated by Reneww Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
- Company number: 15565528
- Registered office: Bartle House, Oxford Court, Manchester M2 3WQ
2. Using this website
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. In particular, you agree not to:
- Use the site in any way that breaches applicable law, or for any fraudulent or harmful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the servers on which it is stored, or any system connected to it.
- Introduce viruses, or any other material that is malicious or technologically harmful.
- Scrape, harvest or systematically extract content from the site without our written consent.
We may suspend or withdraw the site, or any part of it, at any time. We do not guarantee that the site, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted.
3. Intellectual property
We own or licence all intellectual property rights in this website and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and print pages for your own internal use, but you must not use any part of the content for commercial purposes without a licence from us. Trade marks and logos appearing on the site may not be used without our prior written permission.
4. The platform is governed by a separate agreement
These terms cover this website only. Access to and use of the Solar Engine platform — including any subscription, fees, service levels, customer data obligations and liability — is governed by the written agreement entered into between Reneww Ltd and the customer. Nothing on this website forms part of that agreement or constitutes an offer to contract.
5. Content on this site is not advice
Our articles and guides discuss UK certification, grid connection and renewable energy topics. They are published for general information. They are not legal, financial, engineering or regulatory advice, and they are not a substitute for the published standards themselves or for guidance from your certification body, your Distribution Network Operator, or a suitably qualified professional.
Standards and regulations change. Where an article cites a source, that source governs — not our summary of it. We make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate at the date of publication, but we give no warranty that it is current, complete or free from error, and we are not liable for any decision taken in reliance on it.
6. Third-party links
Where this site links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, those links are provided for information only. We have no control over their contents and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss arising from your use of them.
7. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
Subject to that, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and representations in relation to this website, and we will not be liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website.
8. Privacy
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms at any time by amending this page. Please check this page from time to time; the date at the top shows when they were last updated.
10. Governing law
These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
